Regional Head Office for Ricoh in Northampton. We designed and manufactured a range of bespoke elements for the reception, hospitality and break-out areas.

Northampton, England

Our client wanted to create a feature space within the new restaurant at their Northampton office. It had to cater not only for diners during the busy break times but also to act as an inviting space to use at all other times during the day to host meetings for staff and customers.

Design Process

Working with the Ricoh design team we took the initial design concept and worked through a number of iterations of sketches, 3D models and CAD drawings ahead of finalising the specification. We considered a wide range of options on fabric and finishes and advised on the choice of these materials before arriving at the agreed palette.

As part of our process some of our production team visited site and carried out a full survey to cross check the product specs against all finished dimensions. As these are large bespoke pieces, great care is taken to produce each element as a kit of parts that is easy to work with from the manufacturing stage through to transportation and installation.

The installation team work to a precise project installation program. All of the preliminary work carried out on site risk assessment and method statement helped ensure that this install went smoothly and delivered a great result for a delighted customer.

The bespoke pod seating has proven to be a big hit with staff and customers. It is used for a diverse range of meetings during the day of both a formal and informal nature. The special technology platform in the entrance lobby blends perfectly with the contours of the reception counter to create a balanced and contemporary tone that resonates throughout this building.
